We would rather triage your old machine than watch it be compacted.
Fee-for-service pickup of washing machines and dryers, $20–$30 per collection, with a chain-of-custody record for every unit. Repairable units go to the bench; the rest are stripped for steel, copper and usable parts.
How it works
Three things happen when we collect.
We pick it up
Collection across To be confirmed — collections and delivery within the launch region. Multi-unit pickups cost less per unit, which is why we prefer to route through retailers, property managers and councils where we can.
You get a chain-of-custody record
Every unit is booked in against a reference with the date, address and a description. Retailers and property managers use this as their waste-handling evidence; councils use it as diversion data they can publish.
Nothing goes to landfill by default
Repairable units are triaged and go to the workshop. Write-offs are stripped — steel, copper and aluminium to recyclers, tested spare parts back into the bench. What genuinely cannot be recovered is weighed and reported.
Collecting at volume?
Appliance retailers, installers, real estate agents and body corporate managers can set up a standing collection arrangement rather than booking each pickup. Routing old-unit collection at point of delivery to us lowers your waste handling cost and gives you a customer-facing responsible-disposal offer.
What we can and cannot take
We take
- Washing machines — front and top loaders
- Dryers — vented, condenser, heat pump
- Washer/dryer combos
- Units that do not currently work
We cannot take
- Fire-damaged or flood-contaminated units
- Units with visible asbestos-containing components
- Anything we cannot safely move with two people and a trolley
Request a collection
We confirm a pickup window by phone or text. The fee depends on access and how many units are going.
Collection pricing is indicative pending pilot validation and varies with access and volume. Multi-unit pickups are materially cheaper per unit than single-unit runs, which is reflected in the quoted fee.
Get involved
Councils: a recovery bay costs less than compaction.
What we ask for is a designated whitegoods recovery bay and permission to triage units before they are compacted. What you get is reduced landfill volume and disposal cost, a local circular-economy program to report against, and diversion data you can publish.
